CD Release with solo concerts by Enjott Schneider

Order the CD at WERGO

„Soul Paintings – Seelengemälde“ (2015) is the fourth out of 10 planned CD editions by Enjott Schneider at WERGO: The three works on this CD connect emotional processes  – music as expression.

The first two works „Augen der Erde“ and „Dr. Jekyll und Mr. Hyde„ have been published by Ries & Erler and can be purchased (version with piano and full score) and is available as rental material (orchestral version).

The title of the violin concert „Augen der Erde / Earth`s Eye“ goes back to a statement by philosopher Henry David Thoreau: As the human eye is the actual accsess to the soul, you may see the lakes as the accsess  to the soul of our planet. Schneider dedicates one movement of the concert each  to the lakes Königssee, Mondsee and Lago di Garda.

The double concert „Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde“ is based on the probably best known literary shaping of  des doppelganger-theme. This simultaneity of two contrary, but insoluble connected characters, was the exquisite dramaturgy of a double concerts for two virtuosi. „Good“ and „Bad“ are not always distinguishable.
